Mrs. Ludwig a native of Arizona, who wandered to a foreign country (California) before coming back home. She graduated from Page high school, and Northern Arizona University with a degree in chemistry, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. From there, she studied Biochemistry at BYU. While there, she found a love of flying. She became a flight instructor, and also got her airline transport pilot certificate. After instructing for 3 years, she flew airplanes against forest fires, then found a job as a pilot for a commuter airline in California. While in California, she met and married the love of her life. It was after the birth of her daughter that she decided that being a mommy and an airline pilot at the same time was not a good idea, and she quit the flying part of her life. (Not that she doesn't still look longingly at the sky from time to time, but she now has her feet firmly on the ground.). She took her science knowledge and transformed it into a teaching career, with teaching credentials in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. She has been teaching for the last 16 years in California. She and her husband home schooled their daughter through the 8th grade, but since BFHS did not exist in Fresno, Kimber went to High School with Mom, graduating in 2012. She is now attending College in Idaho. With Kimber away from home, the Ludwigs decided to move back to Arizona to be closer to family. This is Mrs. Ludwig's first year as a BFHS Charger, but she is looking forward to many more GREAT adventures with the students here!!
